Welcome to The Danish Canadian National Museum & Gardens

Enhancing the understanding of the Danish Canadian heritage

Memorial Wall

memorialwall2

In 2007, thanks to the leadership and labour of Bendt and Jutta Husted and other family members, a Memorial Wall to honor Danish Canadian immigrants was constructed and dedicated. A garden area adjoins the wall for those who wish to sit awhile with their thoughts and their memories of loved ones.

The Mindelund Memory Garden is dedicated to the memory of Gudrun and Villy Nielsen of Olds, Alberta.

You can pay tribute to a relative or friend who has touched your life in a significant way.  With the purchase of an inscribed plaque for the memorial wall, you honour their memory and perpetuate the family name. Your investment ensures installation of the plaque and perpetual maintenance of the wall and surrounding garden.

The purchase of a plaque also expresses your own commitment to the future of the Danish Canadian National Museum & Gardens and ensures that the immigrant stories continue to be told for future generations.

Please contact the Museum for more information.
